Create a project

You need a Flexkit account and permission to create a project in the chosen team. If your team has already invited you, start with Join a project.

Create the project

1. Sign up or log in and open Dashboard.
2. Select the team that will own the project. Team billing and project access are administered separately.
3. Use the project creation action, enter a recognizable name, and complete the form.
4. Open the new project’s Settings → General. Copy Project ID into your Studio configuration’s projectId.

The ID identifies the backend project. The project name helps people recognize it; changing a name is not a data migration. Your configured Studio title can differ from the Dashboard name.

Connect an application

Choose the Next.js, Astro, or TanStack Start guide. You will define a schema, install extensions, add a server handler, and deploy the schema with the CLI.

Creating a Dashboard project does not publish a Studio URL. Share your hosted Studio URL with teammates after application deployment.

Check the result

The project should appear under the intended team, and its ID should match the configuration. If creation is unavailable, ask a team administrator to create the project or adjust your access. Do not configure a different team’s project merely because it appears in the selector.
