# Organize assets

Open Asset Manager and use Grid or List. The toolbar provides asset search, file-type filtering, and tag filtering.



## Tag assets

Select an asset or a batch, open the available action menu, and use **Add tag** or **Remove tag**. Check the selection count before applying a batch change. Reapply the tag filter afterward to confirm the intended assets appear.

Tags help organize reusable files. Removing a tag is different from deleting the asset or disconnecting it from a record.

## Copy identifiers and URLs

Use **Copy ID** when an API or schema relationship needs an asset identifier. Use **Copy URL** when you need its delivery URL. Keep the distinction explicit in integration code; a URL is not the relationship record ID.

## Delete cautiously

Inspect whether records use the asset before choosing Delete. Read the confirmation and test the behavior with disposable files before removing shared production assets. A record export should not be assumed to include every file; see [import and export](/docs/guides/import-export).

If a batch operation fails, refresh and inspect its actual result before retrying on the full selection.
