# Join a project

Ask your administrator for an invitation and the team's **Studio URL**. Dashboard access and a Studio application URL serve different purposes.

## Sign in and find your workspace

1. Accept the invitation using the intended account. A team invitation and a project invitation can grant different access.
2. Open the Studio URL supplied by your team and sign in.
3. Select the intended project, then use the app rail to open **Desk** or another installed extension.
4. Open an entity such as Products. Your access determines which records, fields, and actions appear.

## If something is missing

| Symptom                       | What to check                                                                                   |
| ----------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Project is absent             | Correct signed-in account, accepted project invitation, and configured project ID.              |
| Studio URL is unknown         | Ask the developer hosting your team's application. Dashboard creation does not create that URL. |
| Entity or field is absent     | Ask about deployed schema and assigned spaces.                                                  |
| Save or Create is unavailable | Your project role, read-only fields, and project service restrictions.                          |
| An extension is absent        | Extensions are installed in application code and may differ between projects.                   |

Do not share another person's login or API token to bypass missing access. An administrator can inspect [memberships](/docs/dashboard/members) and [spaces](/docs/schema/spaces).
